HOLLYWOOD MONSTER: A Walk Down Elm Street with the Man of Your Dreams

By: Robert Englund and Alan Goldsher

Hardcover, 304 pages

Available: October 13, 2009

As we all know Robert Englund has made a name for himself in the horror industry by staring in a vast variety of horror movies, most notably the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise. Well, he finally wrote a book in honor of the 25th anniversary of the movie where he details the memoirs of his experience on and off the set. It goes further into the realm of Robert’s childhood as well as who his inspirations were.

“Packed with Robert’s hilarious stories, playful self-deprecation, and generous helping of never-before revealed trivia… With Insider savvy and gallows humor, Robert recount his audition for Wes Craven, the inspiration for Freddy’s Character, the grueling makeup session, his soon-to-be-famous costars, the often disastrous on-set blunders.”

- Simon & Schuster (Press release)

What I am even more excited is that I will be able to not only buy the book but also be able to meet Mr. Englund at the Flashback Weekend Convention in Chicago. I am really excited to get his autograph as well as a picture. However, it will be very nice to finally read this and because I was such a huge supporter and fan of this franchise it will be nothing more than a treat to finally tap into the mind of Freddy Krueger.
