Contest: Win Saw & Saw II

This time around, I decided to create a contest. Because I won some prizes from Dread Central, I now have 2 copies of Saw and Saw II and I don’t need two copies… so I am going to give them to YOU for free!! I have already started a routine post about horror people that I run into and or meet on the web called Paradise Profiles so I decided to also create a contest. The contest is quite simple; if you are an avid reader of my blog, or if you saw the write post, then you’ll know what my 3 favorite horror movies of all time are. If you can name my top 3 favorite horror movies and their years… you win.

Palisades Tartan has just announced the ultimate contest for fans of Asian Extreme films! Beginning September 10^th 2009, US and UK residents can visit www.PalisadesTartan.com and sign-up for a chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to meet director Park Chan-wook in person, have their picture taken with the celebrated filmmaker and travel to the UK to attend the London premier of THIRST.

Palisades Tartan will pay for the lucky winner and their guest to travel to London to attend the THIRST premier. This will be hosted by our theatrical partners, Metrodome Distribution, at the Curzon Soho on Monday October 5^th 2009. Once the winner arrives, a personal driver will be waiting to chauffer them and their companion to a beautiful hotel located in the center of London. Park Chan-wook will be at the premier and lucky winners can look forward to enjoying lunch with him the following day. Meals will also be covered, but don’t expect live octopus on any of the menus.

The contest will run for approximately two weeks, from Thursday September 10^th to Wednesday September 23^rd 2009 (it ends midnight EST) and is open to both US and UK residents and the Republic of Ireland. About THIRST:

THIRST is the new film from director Park Chan-wook (OLDBOY, SYMPATHY FOR MR. VENGEANCE, LADY VENGEANCE). Already a boxoffice smash in Korea, THIRST was honored with the Prix du Jury [Jury Prize] at the 2009 Cannes International Film Festival. THIRST tells the dark story of Sang-hyun (played by top Korean star Song Kang-ho, of The Host), a priest who reveres life and so selflessly volunteers for a secret vaccine which is meant to eradicate a deadly virus. The vaccine fails and a blood transfusion is ordered. The lifesaving blood saves Sang-hyun but was infected, leaving him a vampire with a newfound carnal desire for blood. Sang Hyun quickly realizes that blood is not the only thing he craves when a friend’s wife comes to him for help and the priest fins his faith tested in ways he would have never imagined.
