Mayonnaise and Ketchup: A Really Bad Music Video

I was greeted a few weeks ago by an indie rapper/hip-hop artist known as MC Sex, and he wanted me to have a look at his ‘music video’ for his song Mayonnaise and Ketchup. Naturally I was curious. I immediately thought of the song Milk and Cereal for some reason. The music video features 42 of his favorite horror/violent/revenge/blood movies of all time.

“There’s a heavy focus on scenes with badass females doing badass bloody stuff to go with the theme of the song which becomes apparent quite quickly. It’s quite possibly the bloodiest music video around.”

The problem with this ‘music video’ is that the music itself has no beat. Showing graphic depictions of girls getting mutilated, girls killing people, gore and violence is dumb when it has nothing to do with the ‘theme’ of the song. I take it that the theme is about having sex and somehow incorporating blood into the mix. I don’t know. I found the video to be very distasteful, vulgar when it didn’t have to be, and not pleasant to listen to. As a horror fan, I don’t appreciate it because it’s missing the point of the horror films used in the video.

If you're interested, here's a list of all the films he used in the music video.

I think he sent me this video a month ago. I have been meaning to look at it, but haven't got the chance. From the picture you have, I'm not sure I want to. Crazy stuff. I wasn't sure about it mostly because of the name. Didn't make any sense to me.
